How To Identify Cash Sucking Keywords for Your Affiliate Niches Websites
If you have been around the Internet Marketing scene for any length of time then you know the power of long tail keywords, especially those keyword phrases that are already generating traffic.
This may at first glance seem to be more difficult then it actually is, and for those affiliate that do use it know thats where the money is made anyway.
There are a few very often over looked benefits of long tail vs. one or two key word phrases. Firstly, every one bids on the one and two keyword phrases so the compitition is outragous. Secondly, and more importantly, more often than not people who are ready to buy a product from your niche are going to type in more that just one word to find what they are ready to purchase.
You see we are not competing for the same keywords as everyone else. We are only going after long tail keywords, three or more words. And with less competition measn that it will be much easier to gain exposure to the top spots in MSN, Yahoo, and the almighty Google.
The great thing is that you are not looking for a home run, we’ll take them but thats not our purpose here. Our pursose is to make a “little” bit of money from our “many” niches that “add up to” a lot.
Here’s use an example. Take the Affilitate Niche. Thats a massive market. A much to large of a market to tackle directly. There is just not nearly targeted enough. In Google alone there are 220,000,000 results for affiliate.
You must be as specific, as targeted as you can. You want to use the exact keywords they are searching for that pertain directly to your product or service.
All you need to do is keep digging deeper into your niches keywords. Do they want…

The point?
There are as many niches as there are keywords and there are milllions of key word combinations therefore there are millions of niches to target. These sub niches are where you need to target your efforts for maximum return.
Find a big popular market and drill down. Once you have found a sub niche , find a sub niche of that. So you are now targeting sub-sub-niches.
What you will find is that you will eventually be lead to the brand names of the product in that niche. If there exsits affiliate programs you can promote or maybe even create your own product. All around those long tail keywords that we started out with.
What you ideal want to do is to focus on specific brand names and even product numbers. Again the more specific your keywords the more targeted your traffic. Plain and simple.
It does not matter weather you are writing articles, doing SEO, your a PPC junkie, all that and more… The more words, generally the more targeted.
Remember we only need a few searches a day because we are going to rank quite high without all the competition for our keywords. Given time you will have hundreds or even thousands of these keyword pages each bringing in 10-50 visitors a day it definatley adds up
What it boils down to is that long tail keywords are a lot more profitable in your affiliate niche marketing efforts than the generic or two word keywords.
And remember that we are maximizing or efforts by focusing on the most profitable keywords there are.
One last thing. Many keyword phrases are added to the search engines everyday that have never been index before so don’t discount any key word phrase in your affiliate niche marketing that the more relevant keywords you utilize the better chance of you getting the traffic.
